BRAHMS –  String Quartet No 2 in A minor, Op 51

Tinalley String Quartet has rapidly achieved recognition as one of the most exciting young quartets performing on the world chamber music stage. Tinalley was awarded First Prize at the prestigious 9th Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2007 and the Grand Prize at the 2005 Australian Chamber Music Competition, now known as the Asia Pacific Music Competition. The Quartet’s 2009/2010 season will include a return tour of Europe, with debut appearances in Paris, Vienna, Salzburg, Budapest and the Berlin Konzerthaus, as well as a return appearance at the Concertgebouw as part of the International Chamber Music Series. The Quartet has been broadcast by ABC Classic FM and 3MBS FM in Australia while around the world their live recordings have been heard on CBC Canada, SRW2 and HR2 Kultur, Germany, and Public National Radio, The Netherlands. In the previous two years, Tinalley String Quartet have performed across Australia, Europe, America and Canada, with season highlights including New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Hamburg, Nurnberg, Berlin, Luxembourg and Amsterdam.
